I have been busy brainstorming ideas for Easter baskets and gifts! I tend to do minimal candy and lean towards gifts that last! When I make Easter baskets I look for items we can take on vacations, use at the pool, sports gear, and outdoor toys! I included items that are smaller, items that can take the place of an Easter basket, and larger items you can set off to the side. Easter baskets vary according to the person. I know people that go all out for Easter baskets. I also have families that do a group gift based on a theme. When you find something you like, click the picture and it will take you to the website.
Arts and Crafts- This Seek & Find book is so much fun! When my son turned 4 he really got in to it! It is bigger than what it looks, but such a great price! I have only seen it sold online. So.much.fun!
Travel Friendly- For a giant list of travel games and activities, check out my travel post!
Play-Doh is great for kids. It helps their fine motor skills! Your child’s teacher will thank you for all that fine motor work they are getting in!
Games- If you are just starting board games, Hi Ho Cherry-O was the first game we played. My son was close to three years old. It is super simple and a quick play which is important when they are young. If you follow me on Social Media (FB and IG) at Trapped at Home Teacher, you will see my son playing with Jumping Jack. This was a game he first played when he was 3. He is almost five and still loves it! I have a first grader I tutor that loves the surprise and asks for it during our session. It fits the Easter theme! Quick Cups is a new favorite for my 4 year old. It is so much fun!
Sneaky Learning For Preschool- I do not own Zingo! Everyone loves it, so I need to try it! Dot-to-Dot is so good for kids to learn their numbers. They even have letter Dot-to-Dots! It is highly motivating and my son at 4 loved seeing what he made. I needed a drink or two explaining how to start it, but he got the hang of it and took off! This Terrarium kit looks so fun! My son is 4.5 and would love to do this! It says 6+ but looking at the directions it would be fun to do together! He wants to start a garden and I can’t keep a plant alive. I think we may start slow with this! This excavation kit is the same one they sell at Lakeshore Learning. My son loves digging to find gemstones! I was surprised to see low ratings. The ones we buy at Lakeshore keep my 4-year-old busy a long time! I bought this bigger one with AMAZING ratings! The manufacturer suggests 6+ though. My son is 4.5 and loves it!
Outdoor fun- If you don’t have walkie talkies, you must get them. We have the camo ones! I watched grown men turn into little boys when my son got these. It is so funny watching them! They pretty much stole them from my son. I though the basketball hoop might be cute to use in lieu of a basket. I would gather the basketball net with a rubber band and put the items inside it. Anything goes!
Action Figures- These are perfect for kids 3 and up! My son is almost five and it is cute to listen to his pretend with them. Have you seen these personalized capes?!? My friend told me about them! They have great ratings from other sellers but are currently sold out of them. I linked a similar one! Click the picture to check it out!
Hair Flair- These are my FAVORITE hairbrushes! Your kids won’t cry from tangled hair! My friend’s daughter is all about these bows! Before you say it, I know, scrunchies… they’re back!
Junior Glam Squad- Your little girls will flip over these Disney themed lip balm.
Let’s also talk about this tiny purse. I literally giggled looking at it. Fill up that purse with some lip gloss and bows and she is ready for the Easter egg hunt!
Shoes- I couldn’t help myself when I saw how cute those boots are… I melted! You can fill up the boots with some fun items and skip the Easter basket!
Water Bottles-These are great for sports and summer! I stumbled upon the build your own straws! I know kids would love to do this! Maybe my son would finally drink my “green smoothies” I make him.
Bed time- These night lights project on to the ceiling. My son LOVES his! Your little one will have some sweet dreams with these! There are a bunch of characters to pick from!
Lego Jr- What a great way to work on problem solving, mathematical thinking, and fine motor skills. All through play! This Lego set even comes with a case! My friend inspired me to get my son started on them when he was 4. One day he got tired of waiting for me to do something and ended up building a set on his own. Talk about a proud mom moment! Soem of the sweetest conversations have come from building together.
Books- We own all of these Spring favorites! You have to check out the Botany book. Click the picture and add it to your cart! I bought it for my kids! It great for kids 3-5. The name baby is misleading. I was very impressed with what they can learn! Nonfiction text is important for even our little learners. These nonfiction books are great for engaging your little ones in the nature around them!
